Anagram Solver

Use every letter to build a combination of two or three words. Spaces in your input do not change the answers.

Try:

Enter 4 to 18 letters. Each result uses every letter exactly once.

One set of letters, several words

DORMITORY and DIRTY ROOM both use D, I, M, O, O, R, R, T and Y. Choosing two words and entering ROOM as Required word leaves D, I, R, T and Y for the other word.

For CONVERSATION, choose three words and set Required word to VOICES. RANT and ON use the remaining letters. A required word must be in the selected list and within the length limits.

What counts as an answer?

The solver finds word combinations. It does not judge whether a phrase sounds natural or makes a sentence. Rearranging the same result’s word order does not create another answer.

Reduce a large search

Start with Common words. Raise the minimum length or fix a required word to narrow the possibilities. Our full game list also includes unusual entries accepted by our version of Scrabble. It is not an official tournament dictionary.

The tool returns up to 200 combinations and stops long searches. If a limit is reached, a message explains that other results may exist. No results after a search limit does not prove that there is no anagram.

Check or search a different way

Tap any result word to open Word Checker. For one word or shorter words from part of a rack, use Word Unscrambler. For known letter positions, use 5 Letter Words.
