Short words to check first
| Word | Base points |
|---|---|
| QI | 11 |
| QAT | 12 |
| QIS | 12 |
| QATS | 13 |
| QADI | 14 |
| QAID | 14 |
| QOPH | 18 |
Q is worth 10 in our game. QI has 11 base points; QAT has 12. These totals exclude placement bonuses.
QI on the opening centre
Place Q next to I, with I covering the centre 2W square. With two ordinary tiles, (10 + 1) × 2 = 22. With a blank representing Q, (0 + 1) × 2 = 2. The blank does not inherit Q’s 10-point value.
How the rack filter works
Enter all available letters, including Q. QATS keeps QAT and QATS because the supplied tiles cover them. It cannot make QI without an I or a blank. A question mark can supply one missing letter.
Acceptance depends on the word list
These are words accepted by our version. Check a candidate in the game you are playing. Our WWF Helper searches a different list, so its answers can differ.
