What does “accepted” mean here?
The checker reads exactly the same list as Scrabble (our version) and Word Finder. It does not check the separate Classic game, an official tournament list or Words With Friends.
CAT is 5 before board bonuses
C contributes 3, A contributes 1 and T contributes 1. A first move through the centre double-word square scores 10 in our game. The checker shows 5 because it has no board position.
Try a blank in the result
Tap a letter tile to replace it with a blank. A blank A changes CAT’s base value from 5 to 4. You can mark up to two blanks, matching our game’s tile bag. Tap the same tile again to restore its normal value.
A listed word still needs a legal place
- Connect the move to tiles already on the board.
- Check every word formed across and down.
- Use your actual rack letters, with one tile for each repeated letter.
The score excludes premiums, cross-words and the 50-point seven-tile bonus. See worked scoring examples and blank tiles.
