Choose words or clues
In word-list mode, the eight answers are visible. In clue mode, each answer is replaced with a short definition. The number beside it is the answer length. In the Kitchen theme, “A tool for beating eggs or mixing liquids (5)” points to WHISK. Choose Garden, Kitchen or Coast for a different answer set.
Select a straight line
Tap the first and last letter of a word. You can also drag between them. Words may run in any of eight directions, including backwards and diagonally. They do not bend. If the same word appears elsewhere in the filler letters, that occurrence also counts.
Hints affect the result
Each found word earns 10 points. A reveal uncovers one answer and costs 2 points. The final score cannot be below zero. There is no time penalty, so you can take a break.
A practical search pattern
- Read the clue and count the answer's letters.
- Look for its first letter, then check the eight directions.
- Use a less frequent letter, such as K in WHISK, to narrow the search.
Switching theme or starting a new puzzle replaces the current grid. Switching between words and clues keeps the same puzzle.
