SCRABBLE ONLINE GAME
Scrabble is a vocabulary puzzle game. Make words from the available letters and get the maximum number of points on your score. Use coloured bonus squares to increase the value of your words.
How to play
The game is played on a 15 by 15 grid. There are coloured bonus squares on the field. The player's task is to make words from the letters on the rack and connect them to words already on the board. The first word must cover the centre star.
Rules of the Scrabble game
The colour and label of a bonus square indicate how it changes the score. A double-letter or triple-letter square increases the value of the new tile placed on it.
A double-word or triple-word square multiplies the value of the whole word. A square without a bonus uses the ordinary letter values.
If there are repeated letters, you need a separate tile for each one. A blank tile can represent any letter, but its value stays zero. Bonus squares apply only when a new tile first covers them.
The word will not be scored if the letters do not follow the rules. Do not use letters that are not in your rack, unless they are already on the board. If a letter appears once in your rack, you should use that tile once.
Avoid words that are not in the game's word list. The word played on the board must be real and valid.
Results
The results of the Scrabble game depend on the total points earned. Each word brings the sum of its letter values to the player's score, with any new letter and word bonuses applied.
Words can be played across or down. If a turn makes more than one word, each new word scores. Placing all seven tiles from your rack in one turn adds 50 points.
The results of the game are presented at the end of the match. The scores show the total points earned by each player. In our version, you can also review suggested higher-scoring alternatives after a match against the computer.
